A major element of the project is to hold a number of topical sessions on agri-environment scheme priorities and environmental land management. The aim of these is to share experiences, swap ideas and give our members the knowledge and confidence they need to deliver their environmental stewardship options.
We hold regular themed sessions that are tailored to our area, the local farm types and the habitats and species found in the White Peak.
We have a number of sessions on
Species-rich grasslands (Management, grazing and restoration).
Wet grassland (Species, water levels and vegetation structure).
Woodland management (Ancient woodlands, dead wood, plantations).
Practical hedgerow restoration (Hedge laying/coppicing).
Opportunities for species (Investigating the needs of species of conservation concern).
Making best use of volunteers (support to carry out practical management).
You can find out about our latest sessions here.
